Let us welcome you to our holiday home that was completely refurbished in 2018 and enjoy direct lake access.

Pete's is nestled on the shores of Lake Eildon. Enjoy near-exclusive lake access, stunning views from the large, elevated verandah or relax watching TV, reading or playing board games.

There is plenty to do year-round: Go swimming or boating in the lake at the front door. Explore the Strathbogies on foot, bicycle or motorbike.
You are only a 45min drive from Mt.Buller, ready to hit those slopes.

Ready to offer a base for guests to enjoy all Summer and Winter activities, this house is perfect to enjoy and explore the many possibilities Victoria's High Country has to offer.

Our favourite spot is the large verandah at the front of the house, offering beautiful views over the lake and the iconic Bonnie Doon bridges.
Another highlight is the stunning main bathroom with its natural timber vanity and the double shower with a rain head.

Indulge in some food creation in the modern, large and well-equipped kitchen while engaging with the others in the open and bright living area. And while you're at it, why don't you invite summer in by opening the large bifold doors and windows that lead to the verandah?

Cuddle up in the reading corner, we are sure you will find a perfect book in the well-equipped book exchange.

There is also a few board games available, as well as a selection of DVDs.

 

Airconditioning

The home is fitted with reverse-cycled ducted air-conditioning for comfortable temperatures in any season.

 

Living and Dining Area

The home features an open plan kitchen/ dining and living area.

The living area is equipped with:

  • a large couch,
  • TV,
  • DVD player,
  • large DVD selection,
  • Reading nook including a book exchange,
  • Board Games, and
  • Toys.

The dining table can seat up to 12 guests.

 

Kitchen

The kitchen is well equipped with:

  • cooking utensils,
  • five-burner gas cooktop,
  • oven,
  • dishwasher, and
  • large fridge.

Please note: We offer a basic breakfast in the form of oats, muesli, bread, jam and peanut butter. Tea, coffee and milk are also provided. All these items are limited and to your disposal in the kitchen.

 

Bedrooms

The main bedroom has an ensuite and large Wardrobe as well as its own, private little deck with lake views. Perfect to enjoy a quiet breakfast before the bustle of the day or to finish the day with a glass of wine, this is your own, separate and comfortable retreat.

Bedrooms 2 and 3 offer double beds and wardrobes/ cupboards for storage.

The fourth bedroom offers two elevated single beds as well as two double beds.

All bedding, linen and towels are supplied. Please note that the bedrooms are prepared according to the number of guests we are expecting.

 

Bathrooms

There is a main bathroom with a double shower.

The toilet is seperate from the main bathroom.

The ensuite is in the master bedroom.

All bathrooms have handtowels, hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner available. A hair dryer can be found in the main bathroom.

 

Parking and Access

This home is located in a residential area with near exclusive lake access. Once you book the place, you will be the sole resident on the property.

There is plenty of parking available for cars, boats and trailers.

 

Checkin and Checkout

The home is for rent year around and you will be greeted by one of us upon arrival.
Should you have any questions or troubles, we are only one phone call away.

Checkin is from 2pm.

Checkout is before 10am.

Early checkins and late checkouts are usually possible if agreed upon prior, and if there is no other guests leaving or arriving on that day. We try to be as accomadating as we can, but we also need sufficient time to prepare the house for you and other guests.

 

In and around Bonnie Doon...

Bar, restaurant and service station of Bonnie Doon are a 5min drive away.

Reach Mansfield by taking a 20min drive soaking in the surrounding beauty of the water and the rolling hills.

Mt Buller is approximately 45min by car.

The house is a 5min cycle off the rail trail.

There is limited public transport available, should you plan to arrive by V-Line we are happy to organise transport to and from the property.

 

Cleaning

To minimise the spread of COVId-19, we have adapted emhanced cleaning practices which are based on the CDC's recommendations. This includes the following:

  • All linen and towels are cleaned at a professional laundry.
  • Ventilating rooms with fresh air during the cleaning process.
  • After a thorough clean, all surfaces and commonly touched areas like light switches and door handles are disinfected.
  • Good hand hygiene during the cleaning process.
